GOOD PRACTICES

CHECK THE SEABED
Use the Seabed Lookers or the available instruments.

POSITION OF THE ANCHOR
Calculate the anchor position and chain length. Take into account the boat’s length and the intensity and direction of the wind.

ANCHORING
The longer the boat and the stronger the wind, the more chain and the further away from the meadow it should be anchored to avoid damaging it.

NOISE
In protected areas, avoid engaging in activities that cause noise and disturb marine fauna.

WATER DISCHARGE
Do not drain bilge water in the anchorage zone and only do it in designated areas in the port or at least 12 miles from the coast.

WASTE TREATMENT
Take the waste to the port and do not fill the garbage bins on the beaches. Reduce waste generation and recycle.

RAISE THE ANCHOR
When removing the anchor, sail forward to lift the anchor vertically, reducing the erosive risk from the anchor and chain on the seabed.
